Use this guide when the machine cannot return to the home position, vibrates against the frame, or reports an X/Y/Z axis limit switch error.
Warning: Power off the machine before removing sensors, cables, stop blocks, or the laser module. Never place your hands inside the motion area while the machine is homing.
¶ 1. Limit Switch Locations
¶ 1.1 X-Axis Limit Switch
The X-axis limit sensor is under the laser module top cover. Remove the four top-cover screws first. After the cover is removed, you can see the X-axis and Z-axis limit sensors on the upper circuit board.

The X-axis limit stop block is on the left side of the corresponding guide rail.
¶ 1.2 How to Check the X-Axis Limit Sensor
- Power off the machine.
- Move the laser module slowly to the left by hand.
- Check whether the X-axis stop block can reach the sensor position.
- Watch whether the X-axis limit switch indicator changes when the stop block is detected.
- Clean the sensor slot and check the sensor cable.
Tips: The right side of the X-axis is controlled by a software travel limit.
¶ 1.2 Y-Axis Limit Switch
The Y-axis photoelectric sensor is at the rear-right side of the machine. The Y-axis limit stop block is on the right side of the X-axis gantry rail.

¶ 1.3 Z-Axis Limit Switch
The Z-axis limit stop block is deeper inside the laser module and can only be seen after further disassembly.
Warning: Do not further disassemble the laser module unless support instructs you to do so. If the sensor is not confirmed faulty, do not open this internal section. Disassembling this area may loosen the internal gears. Do not use disassembly as a routine troubleshooting step.
¶ 2. Common Symptoms
¶ 2.1 Issue 1: Rear-Side Vibration During Homing
When the machine starts a job or returns to the home position, the laser module may move to the rear corner and keep vibrating against the frame.
In most cases, the Y-axis limit switch was not detected.
- If the machine vibrates at the rear side, check the Y-axis travel path first and make sure no object is blocking it.
¶ 2.2 How to Check the Y-Axis Limit Sensor
- Check whether the stop block is bent, loose, missing, or misaligned.
- Clean the photoelectric sensor slot.
- Insert a slim, non-sharp tool into the Y-axis sensor slot to simulate the stop block reaching the home position.
- Check whether the Y-axis limit sensor responds.
If the sensor does not respond during this test, the Y-axis sensor or its cable may be faulty. Contact technical support for assistance.
¶ 2.3 Issue 2: Laser Module Hits the Gantry
If the laser module is installed too high, you may see the following:
- The laser module hits the gantry during homing or Z-axis movement.
- The Z-axis cannot move down far enough, causing the distance sensor probe to fail to extend or retract.
If this happens, reinstall the laser module first:
- Power off the machine.
- Loosen the laser module mounting screws.
- Push the laser module fully down into the X-axis slider.
- Make sure there is no visible gap.
- Tighten the screws evenly.
- Test homing or distance measurement again.
