During operation, laser processing inevitably generates smoke and debris. These impurities tend to adhere to the protective lens and the nozzle. If left uncleaned for a long time, this accumulation can lead to laser power attenuation, incomplete cuts, poor engraving results, and even permanent damage to the lens.
Focusing Lens: Located inside the module, it focuses the laser beam into a tiny spot to enhance cutting depth and engraving precision. It is one of the most critical optical components of the laser module.
Nozzle: A small, cone-shaped component installed at the laser outlet. Its function is to concentrate the airflow to blow away smoke and debris, preventing them from entering the module.
Protective Lens: Positioned between the nozzle and focusing lens, usually a transparent glass disc. It blocks dust and debris from entering the module, protecting the focusing lens. The protective lens is replaceable, making maintenance easier and reducing costs.
Tip: The protective lens acts as a barrier, keeping the focusing lens completely isolated from the external environment. During routine maintenance, you only need to clean the outer protective lens.
