If you find an offset between the framing preview (red crosshair) and the actual engraved pattern, it means there is a slight misalignment between the physical center of the laser module and the visual indicator crosshair. Performing a "Red Crosshair Calibration" can realign them, ensuring your framing preview before processing is 100% accurate.
Purpose: Enter the machine's built-in calibration wizard.
Purpose: The machine needs to burn a physical center mark on a piece of scrap material to provide you with a visual reference point for alignment.
Before engraving, please ensure the air assist pump and exhaust fan are turned on to prevent smoke accumulation and damage to the lens.
Place a flat 3mm wooden board in the workspace.
Close the lid and tap Next. The machine will engrave a tiny reference cross mark.
Purpose: Physical correction to let the machine exactly remember the absolute center position of the laser beam.
Open the lid. Gently move the laser module by hand |
until the red crosshair perfectly overlaps with the cross mark just engraved |
Purpose: Save the new offset coordinates to the machine's motherboard.
