During continuous laser operation, smoke and debris inevitably accumulate inside the exhaust fan module. If left uncleaned for extended periods, this buildup can restrict airflow, reduce exhaust efficiency, and potentially cause the fan motor to overheat or fail. We recommend performing a deep cleaning periodically to maintain optimal equipment performance.

¶ Preparation
Please prepare the following tools before you begin cleaning:
Always power off the machine before cleaning!
¶ Step 1: Disassemble the Module
- Rotate and unscrew the exhaust hose. Press the top latch, then gently pull the module backward to remove it from the machine.
- Wipe the exterior of the module with a non-woven cloth.

¶ Step 2: Clean the Filter Foam
- Remove the filter foam. If it is dirty, wash it with water and ensure it is completely dry before re-installation.
- Wipe the internal grids with an alcohol-dampened non-woven cloth.

¶ Step 3: Remove the Outer Casing
Use the 2.0mm Hex Key to unscrew the 6 retaining screws on the casing. Carefully separate the front and back panels to expose the internal fan assembly.

Use the 2.5mm Hex Key to remove the 4 long screws |
Use the 2.0mm Hex Key to remove the 2 short bracket screws |
Wipe the interior casing with a non-woven cloth |
Detach the fans and thoroughly clean the blades and fins with a brush |
¶ Step 5: Reassemble and Reinstall
- Place the two fans back into their original positions inside the casing.
- Secure the fan components.
Use the 2.5mm Hex Key to tighten the 4 long screws |
Use the 2.0mm Hex Key to tighten the 2 short bracket screws |
Use the 2.0mm Hex Key to tighten the outer casing screws |
- Install the filter foam and exhaust hose.
Insert the clean and completely dry filter foam |
Rotate the exhaust hose back onto the module |
- Press the top latch and slide the module into the slot until it clicks into place.
