a. Turn on the air pump and set it to Auto mode. |
b. Switch on the Aliencell X1 power button. |
- To verify the air pump is working properly, switch it to level 1, 2, or 3, then place a piece of paper under the Laser Module. If you feel airflow, the pump is working correctly.

- Note: Before starting a job, always switch the air pump back to Auto mode.
- Place the material at the center of the work area and close the machine cover.

For lightweight or thin materials, use the Material clamps to hold them in place.
- On the touch screen, select the
icon in the left-hand menu.
- Tap Internal storage, and choose a file from the device’s internal memory. Each Aliencell X1 comes preloaded with a sample file ready to use.
- The design parameters for the file will pop up. Tap Confirm to proceed to the job settings page.

Before starting, you can manually set the Laser Module’s starting point to ensure the design is aligned correctly on the material.
-
Method 1: Canvas Drag Positioning
- In the left-hand grid area (canvas), tap and drag the design with your finger.
- As you move the design, the Laser Module will follow the red crosshair cursor in real time.

-
Method 2: Jog Control Panel
- Use the arrow buttons on the right-hand side of the touch screen to move the Laser Module.
- Each tap moves the laser head by the defined step size (default: 1mm).

-
Method 3: Manually Move the Laser Module
- Gently push the Laser Module by hand so that the red crosshair lands on a reference point along the edge of the target work area.

- Tap Framing. The Laser Module will trace the outline of the file over the material to help confirm that the design fits within the selected material size.

If the framing crosshair falls outside the material, reposition the job or use a larger piece of material to avoid failure.
If no adjustments are needed, you may skip this step.
Always close the machine cover before starting!
